
Steve L. Gerber, M.D.
Dr. Gerber received his medical degree from the University of Chicago, Pritzker School of Medicine. His Ophthalmology
residency was at the Indiana University Hospital and Riley Children's Hospital in Indianapolis where he was Chief Resident
during his final year. He also completed a Glaucoma fellowship at Indiana University.
He is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Gerber has published a number
of glaucoma articles and has authored a chapter on the side effects of glaucoma medications. Dr. Gerber specializes
in pediatric eye care and surgery, glaucoma and diabetes management and small incision no-stitch cataract surgery.
Dr. Gerber also sees premature infants for retinopathy of prematurity examinations in the hospital.

Bruce
H. Schwartz, M.D.
Dr. Schwartz received his medical degree from SUNY
Health Science Center at Syracuse, New York. His Ophthalmology residency was at North Shore University Hospital
in Manhasset, New York. He completed a cornea fellowship at the University of Florida and is board certified by
the American Board of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Schwartz is the first fellowship trained
corneal specialist in Michiana, and has interests in diseases and surgery of the cornea. He is often consulted
by Eye Doctors throughout Michiana for their difficult dry eye and corneal ulcer patients. Other areas of interest include
small incision no-stitch cataract surgery including the Restor presbyopic correcting implant, corneal transplants, blepharitis
management, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease management and treatment.
Dr. Schwartz is the only Michiana eye surgeon doing the new DSEK procedure. This innovative new surgery allows for
only the inner layer of the cornea to be replaced instead of a full thickness corneal transplant. This results in much
quicker healing and vision recovery.

Eric Y.
Yoon, M.D.
Dr. Yoon graduated from the University of
Michigan and received his medical degree from Wayne State University. His residency training was in Chicago at the Stroger/Cook
County Medical Center. He most recently completed a LASIK and refractive surgery fellowship with the Pepose Vision
Institute near St. Louis.
The Pepose Vision Institute is
one of the busiest refractive surgery practices in the country and provided Dr. Yoon with an opportunity to learn and
perform the latest refractive surgery procedures. In addition to LASIK and refractive surgery Dr. Yoon also
performs no-stitch cataract surgery and treats diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and corneal diseases.

Marcia Suvelza, O.D.
Dr. Suvelza received her degree in Optometry from the Indiana University School of Optometry.
She provides an expertise in all types of contact lenses including, soft, toric, gas-permeable and custom contact lenses for
conditions such as keratoconus. Dr. Suvelza also provides vision exams for children and adults.
